Cowboy camp 2016 was my first camp ever and it was the best ever. Dove and her helpers are amazing. I learned a lot about horses, myself and the Lord. I was looking forward to Cowboy camp this past summer, but unfortunately missed because of baseball. Looking forward to camp next summer and hopefully I will be bringing some friends with me.

My son still talks about camp and Dove, and how he will miss baseball to attend camp this coming summer. Dove is an amazing loving caring woman of God. My kiddo has ADHD and can sometimes be a little wild, but Dove accepted him with open loving arms and he had the best to ever!!

Last Summer Cowboy Camp 2016-My 7 year old son loved loved loved Dove and Staff. It was his 1st retreat and being away from home with someone other than family. His spiritual bank was filled, learned some great daily life lessons, and caring for a horse! He was heartbroken when he heard we missed this years Cowboy Camp. I have reached out to Dove personally about another retreat and she was quick to respond. I plan on seeing her this month at a women's retreat! Thank you for all that you do!

Quoting Darcy Taylor Lau:
WIDOWS MIGHTY RETREAT 2016-
LOVED - LOVED - LOVED IT!!! The converted barn on this beautiful working ranch makes a fun and beautiful atmosphere. Dove's sweet spirit of love and acceptance made me feel so comfortable - there was great teaching, fun, fellowship and PLENTY of snacks. I left feeling refreshed and made wonderful new friendships. Truely a weekend worth repeating!

oops, that was 2017 not 2016

About 10 years ago, my daughter was invited to attend a camp at Crossroads ranch by a friend and my son soon joined her as a camper. I have also attended women's retreats at the ranch which were amazing! I grew up around horses and and valued them as a therapy tool. This ranch is more than just a "ranch". It's not just about horses and learning the "Cowboy way". It's about learning to trust in God, trust in yourself, and trust in each other!

I was honored to meet Ms. Dove and her daughter in 2006. At Loving Hearts Prison Ministry. My life of guilt and shame for several years thinking it was my fault that my sons were in prison was over. I am so Very Blessed to say that her and I are still friends, there's a bond. Her daughter Micah is such a blessing as well. Micah has grown up to be such a strong loving, caring young woman and mother. She definetly walks in her mothers shoes and shows by example to the younger generations. Doves Dreams were always to open the Ranch Bed and Breakfast, but God has used her to even go further as she now has the Children's Camps, Men and Women retreats and her Bed and Breakfast, all centered around God and the love of and for God. God even brought her husband Mike to her to help carry on her dream. I've not gotten the opportunity to meet him yet, but soon I will.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dove and Mike at the leadership conference in Haughton LA. I heard about Crossroads Ranch and I decided I had to come and experience this awesome place. From the warm and inviting amenities to the most gracious hosts, it was to be one of the most memorable trips of my life. From the bunk house to the cabins, its a rustic, homey and beautiful place to be. All the horses and other animals add to the spectacular scenery and views. I felt as if I had arrived at God's country. In fact I had. With all the wonderful things and hosts of Crossroads Ranch, the most incredible part is God's presence. The Holy Spirit greets you at the gate. With that also brings the salvations, deliverances, restorations, and all the power of the Holy Spirit. Looking forward to my return. Thank you Mike and Dove for all your work and heart you pour into Crossroads and your guests. Love you both.

We just "happened" upon this gem, and it couldn't have came at a better time for our kids! We had 3 in attendance. 1 of which has high anxiety and sensory processing disorder and never been away from mom, and one with very high separation anxiety. ALL 3 had the most amazing time and did so wonderful! I was able to communicate with all of my kids OFTEN and sometimes Mrs. Dove. She assured us at all times, and made us all feel very comfortable. Our children loved camp so much, they insisted on us signing them up for summer camp before we even left christmas camp! We couldn't be anymore blessed by this opportunity for our kids and fully plan on making this a lifelong "thing" for the 3 kids and when our others are of age. We are so thankful for this opportunity and any upcoming!

I can honestly say that the time my girls spent at Crossroads changed the paths of their lives for good. While my girls spent several years there as campers and then as leaders it has benefitted them in all areas of their lives. Their self worth and confidence will continue to serve them well as they live their adult lives. Their integrity and moral compass are strong because of their time with the Schmidts.
